Day 10 Luke
Chapter 10
“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father,
and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is
except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him” (v.22
NASB).
They have met the Creator of the universe and witnessed the awesomeness of His kingdom. They now know who He is…all things have been given to Jesus and in Him, all fullness dwells and is derived (Col. 2:9). He reveals to them how wonderful it is that they have had these things revealed to them. They should rejoice that they knew the mysteries of the kingdom and how they are now responsible to lead others into the knowledge they have. How amazing to be part of this holy, powerful, mighty relationship between the Father and the Son, in a community of three with the Holy Spirit. We too, have this divine privilege in Christ that the disciples had—for we are joint-heirs with Him (Rom. 8:17).
Remember this Advent to reflect on why Jesus came. He came to destroy the works of the devil (1 Jn. 3:8) and set us free from the captivity of sin. We too should rejoice greatly in the Holy Spirit for all the wonderful, magnificent, and awesome works the Lord has done.
